The Workspace Type
- Workspace
- Workspaces
- A Workspace is a core type of DeepaMehta and represents an application domain through connected topic- and association-types. These types are connected through a turquoise "Type Access" association in the direction from the workspace to the respective type. If you connect a user to a workspace, away from the workspace towards the user, use a yellow "Membership" association to grant the user access to your types and all instances of them. Within the properties of those two edges you can configure the access rights per user in a shared workspace. Every workspace becomes its own map out of the box and this is interconnected with a red "Aggregation" association to the workspace, there every published topic map is layed down for other users.

The red "Aggregation" association connects a workspace to its map. All 8 initial maps are shown here. Note that some initial maps have no "What's related?" relations.
The turquoise "Type Access" association connects a workspace to various topic types and association types.
The Topic Map Type
- Topic Map
- Topic Maps
- A Topic Map is a container for topics and associations and it exists independently of the topics and associations stored in the corporate memory. You can create and import topic maps within your personal workspace. If you delete a topic-map the content will not be affected. You can share this view with other users if you publish it to a workspace and every user gets a personal copy of your published one until he republishs his new. A topic map has no borders, can have a personalized background image and its own colour. You can export it currently to pdf, svg and xml. If you want to transfer content from one instance to another one just reveal all topics and associations you want to export within one map, then you can export the whole map. Every instance of a TopicType which is a derivation of the "Document" TopicType will be packaged and exported too.
