First Tutorial
I like the text content which matthias suggested, for a possible speaker, here is the first draft

text to speak

  • describe the scene on screen

The Mind is a large network of interconnected concepts.

  • see a full overview of interrelated topics : move the map through click on the background

Let`s call them topics.

  • click different (mouse and cat) topics and point to the effect of this action into the property panel

And there are relationships

  • draw a generic association from cat to mouse, call them "eats"

Let`s call them "associations" because they are not always as explicit as this one. Sometimes they are very vague. To draw such a connection use your mouse pointer and click the first object, then press the ALT key and drag the mouse onto the second topic. Depending on the underlying platform or mouse you are using, you can also draw a connection with pressing the middle mouse button or the CTRL+ALT key while dragging your mouse from one topic onto another.

Congratulations!

You have learned to visualize conceptional proximity and associations.

...

But DeepaMehta is also great for text snippets. When you click on a topic, the content of the right pane changes and shows up the details.

  • select a topic in the current map and show up slowly the surrounding of the property panel with the respective content. maybe markup something like "reasoning"

...

Let's import a map and try to find the answer to the question: "What have a penguin and a elephant in common? But first we have to navigate to our personal workspace.

  • Go to the Topic Map Selector and select your personal Workspace

We can identify our personal workspace map via the single user icon in front of our user name and through the matter of fact that this choice is always on top of (the first in) the dropdown menu. In this map we have all our personalized topic maps displayed and are also able to perform two commands. create and import. We want to import the file animals.zip.
