Welcome to the DeepaMehta Twitter Topic page. It seems that you want to tweet out of your DeepaMehta topic maps and want to be an "Early Adaptor", so this is your page! With installing it you are already a tester, when reporting bugs you are already a contributor and if you verbalize wishes you help us to understand the semantic of twitter.
The Twitter client is designed to run on your desktop and within a distributed system in your internal or external network. Like DeepaMehta it's either used as a multi-user application in your network or simply on your desktop.

1) Browse and read any twitter.com/user's channel with "Get up to date".
If you provide your password to the Twitter Topic, you can additionally
2) Update your status on twitter.com with entering the answer to the question "What are you doing ?" into the Twitter Topics Property Panel.
3) Check your account for @replies and reveal other users channels which already replied to you.
But don't forget to empty your password input field if you use deepamehta in a shared environment.
This application makes use of the following DeepaMehta items
1) It uses generic Topics as status updates
2) It uses Twitter Topics as user channels
3) Associations of type Composition are used between status updates with Twitter Topics.
4) Association of type Recipientsare used between status updates and the @user mentioned
Notes:
Prerequisites: You already [installed] Java and DeepaMehta
1) Download your customized [Twitter Topic dm-twitter-1.0.jar] and unzip it into your directory of choice (e.g. dm-home/dm-apps/).
2) Open up the DeepaMehta buildfile (dm-home/build.xml) and open it with a simple text editor and enter the path to your fresh extracted dm-twitter-1.0.jar.
3) Go into the DeepaMehta Home Directory with a command line and enter
./run.sh patchdb -Dpatch=dmapps/dm-twitter/deliver/install/twitter.sql
to install the patch and associate the TopicType to user "root"
4) Assign the new TopicType to any User or Workspace with a Association of Type "Type Access" to enable other users to search and create TwitterTopics.
5) Copy the content of the icon directory into your dm-home/install/client/icons directory to finish the installation.
This is designed as a simple channel-topic which creates simple topics.
