Use DeepaMehta online

To use DeepaMehta you don't need to download and install any software. You can use DeepaMehta completely online. You just need a Java-capable web browser and a DeepaMehta account. To get a DeepaMehta account, write an email to accounts@deepamehta.de containing your desired username/password and your intended purpose of use.

With a DeepaMehta account you are able to

• Create topic maps in your personal workspace. Topic maps consist of topics and associations. Both, topics and associations are typed (e.g. Person, Institution, Website, Meeting, ...). Topics and associations can be filled with text and image content.
• Create your own types, e.g. Football Club
• Work on topic maps collaborativly by the means of shared workspaces. Once a topic map is published to a shared workspace it is accessible by other workspace members. You can join further shared workspaces or create your own.
• Export and download topic maps as XML, SVG, or PDF.

While using DeepaMehta online, you need a constant internet connection. All content you create is stored at the DeepaMehta website.

Another way to use DeepaMehta is to download and install it on your own machine. Be aware installing DeepaMehta is not as easy as you might know from installing other software.

DeepaMehta requires Java 1.4.

Login

DeepaMehta is loaded from the net and runs in your browser as a Java applet. For security reasons the Java applet provided here has no access to your hard disk. If you deliberately want allow DeepaMehta to access your hard disk, e.g. to upload documents or images please login with the signed applet.
