  • MessageBoard Application
    • A message board can associated with a webpage. On the message boards webpage a corresponding link appears
  • Minor improvements
    • Type menus have a defined order ("Ordinal Number" of "Type Access" associations is respected)

    • SVG and PDF export works again (since 4.5.2003, 2.0a18-pre10 it was broken)
    • "Back" and "Forward" buttons works in any situation (formerly ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException might occur)
    • DeepaMehta server disposes connection when applet page is reloaded -> lesser "already 50 connections" errors. Only for integrated Java VM yet, not for Java plugin

  • New Interface
    • "Back" and "Forward" buttons to step in topicmap history
    • No "Build" mode anymore, instead there is a new Construction workspace.
      Important: once you changed a type definition you must select the "Update" command.

    • Redesigned Chat
      New Topic Type Chat Board (derived from Topic Map), to collect all the chats of a workspace. Once a chat is initiated all logged in workspace members are notified.
    • "minute" of a "Time Chooser" property value can set from 0 to 59 (formerly 0 to 55 with intervals of 5)

  • Features
    • Email client (experimental)
      In order to retrieve emails from POP3 or IMAP accounts, set the Mailbox URL property of a Email Address topic. For POP3 the format is

      pop3://user:password@host:port/INBOX

      A Person resp. an Institution have one or more email addresses. Mail checking interval is 5 min. Attachments are retrieved as well, they are connected to the email by means of attachment associations.
      In order to send emails the SMTP Server property of the CorporateWeb Settings must be set (workspace "Administration").

    • XSLT based HTML generator does better rendering of "Text Editor" properties.
    • Double clicking a topic explains its type, try it for an "Email Address" topic.
  • Bug Fixes (thanks to Matthias S. for reporting these bugs)
    • Topicmap import works also on Windows platform
    • Closed topicmaps can be published from personal workspace (before this release an error message is shown in the message panel)
    • Document topics in personal workspace (created through export) can be deleted (before this release no "Delete" command appears in the menu).

  • Improved Web Features
    • Webpages are displayed in DeepaMehta directly (experimental)
    • Every topic has a "Google Search" command.
      To let this work you must obtain a key from google and enter it in the "Google Key" field of the "CorporateWeb Settings" (workspace "Administration").

  • Improved Navigation
    • Associations are revealed now for the case of more than 7 topics in both navigation directions. Consider this example: a gallery is associated with 20 artists and at least one of the artists is associated with 10 galleries. Formerly only further containers were shown.
  • Bug Fixes
    • No "not yet implemented" messages anymore when navigating by "By Association Type". Now the result set is grouped by topic type and for every topic type a container is shown.
    • Character encoding of corporate memory is consistent now. For the MySQL JDBC driver 2 parameters are added to all connection URLs, as 1) CM connections as configured in dms.rc 2) corporate datasources. 
      useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=latin1
      IMPORTANT: Some cm-patches are "patched" in this release. In order to have only latin1 encoded characters in the corporate memory, a cm-reset is required.

  • Extended XSLT based HTML generator (see 2.0a17-pre7)
    • First version of form generator and topic info generator (install/client/stylesheets/xml2html.xsl). To use it include it in your stylesheets

    • To generate a form, call the named template form. There are 3 parameters:
      • typeID (mandatory)
      • action (mandatory: the action fired by the "Submit" buttom)
      • topic (optional: if set this topic is to be edited)
    • To generate topic info, set the context node to the respective topic element and apply the templates
  • Datasource Searches completed
    • Relation filter is now functional
    • Searches with a large result perform faster
    • All search topics have a reasonable name
  • Updated application: Artfacts
    • New topic types: Gallery and Exhibition (see 2.0a17-pre7)
  • Misc
    • Year range extended from 1911 to 2006 (was 1955 to 2005)
